Yet they buried him anyway.....

It has been six months since the service at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home in Pontiac when the casket was lowered into the ground at Perry Mount Park Cemetery.

And for six months now that Spenser Tillman has insisted - the body inside was not his dad.

"I'm just still in shock that something like this could happen and they haven't owned up to it," he said. "It wasn't our father, so at that point, you're in shock like - that's not our father. You keep telling them it's not our father and they're not listening."

  1. Maybe Lawrence went out for a pack of cigarettes.

    1. What I was thinking, he probably changed a little since he stepped out for a pack of Newports 25 years ago.

  2. In the last few years we've had some issues with a few funeral homes in the metro Detroit area. They tend to be the funeral homes that service the black community. If I remember correctly there was one that went out of business and left a bunch of bodies in the garage and basement, folks that were supposed to be buried over a year before they were found.

  3. If it was a white-owned funeral home their defense would be, "Well, they all look alike."

  4. I’ve been involved in the litigation of a few of these funeral homes cases on the insurance side of the house. I can tell you this one stinks and not just of decomposition either. In my experience, when the funeral home refuses to acknowledge there is anything wrong, there most definitely is something major wrong.

  5. Maybe a two-story job, and dad has a roommmate for eternity.
