It's such a shame we eat pigs & cattle. I live across the street from a high end black angus farm. Think happy, grass fed, playing in the fields being silly cattle. My 5 kids though I've never pulled the punches about what has to happen so we can eat that meat. They are so grateful about it and they get mad when they hear about animals abused or slaughtered in an inhumane way. They can taste the difference between a well cared for hen's egg & the wal mart generic battery box hen sadness eggs. They waste zero meat b/c they understand what that unfortunate animal had to do so that we can eat it.
The result is they appreciate and love the critters. Especially the cattle that we see being goofy and playing in the field across the way.
Well, if you want bacon or spare ribs you do not give the critter a name. All domesticated animals will act like a pet if you let them. Does not make them human.
I really want to know of he eats bacon.
