Well, this is shocking

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With more than two dozen states poised to ban abortion if the U.S. Supreme Court gives them the OK next year, California clinics and their allies in the state Legislature on Wednesday revealed a plan to make the state a “sanctuary" for those seeking reproductive care, including possibly paying for travel, lodging and procedures for people from other states.

  1. I’m sure that the California taxpayers want to pay for this. Right now if I have a choice of buying a California product or a product that comes from another state, I do not buy from California. That includes wine, produce, electronics, etc.

    1. If this does come to pass, think of the California smugnitude for "providing medical services to women that their home states just won't do."

I can hear it in my Oakland daughter-in-lawyer's voice right now...

    2. ADDENDUM: And we can bet the farm on the California Congressional Delegation demanding Federal funds to do this.

  3. Ya gotta love the term "reproductive care". It's another one of those terms that insults your intelligence while rationalizing murder.

  4. I don't know why they call baby butchering "reproductive care". It stops reproduction. Abortion is used as birth control after the fact. Most of the babies killed are black, so it is racial genocide. Here's an idea, Ladies: if you don't want to get pregnant, keep your panties on.

  5. That won't get expensive... oh, CA, they have the money tree, never mind.

  6. Abortion as a necessary medical procedure will be returned to the doctor and patient privacy just like prior to Roe v. Wade.

  7. If the likeminded want to donate money for this purpose then it's not my biz. But the very idea of taxpayer money funding this is ludicrous. Travel and Lodging? On a platter? WTF?

  8. All those tremors off the coast are warning shots. Gotta hunch this decision is going to make things worse.

  9. Not a surprise. I grew up in VA before Roe and the DC area allowed abortions for any female that showed up at the clinic, even to what were under age girls. I knew a girl (16 at the time, girlfriend of a close friend) that had an abortion in Washington back in the day. I knew her long enough to know that she ended up regretting it.
