Been their done that...except on a tractor instead of a car.
We used to have an old Ford tractor that you could hook a back hoe attachment to through the PTO. I went to a home site by myself to pick it up one day and as I was pulling it into the trailer, when I hit the brake, the right rear wheel locked up and the left rear wheel spun the front of the tractor off the side of the trailer and I jumped as the machine rolled on its side.
I checked as I got back to the tractor and realized that the guy who had used it before me, had flipped the metal piece that locks the brake pedals together so he could spin the machine around in a tight spot.
After some choice words about his IQ and lack of parentage, I managed to get the machine flipped back on it's wheels and fastened down on the trailer.
I've done that before on a backhoe. Talk about getting your heart pumping. I had a can of Copenhagen in my back pocket and after the dust settled and I climbed out of that machine I reached for my can to get a dip. I had held on to that rig so tight when it came off the trailer that my ass flattened the can out to about a quarter inch thick.
i don't think that guy was loading though. I think the guy (cab) in the picture was driving down the street, dark, rainy and there's no cones behind the truck (cuz obviously he has to load it) and drove right up on it and freaked and went off. You can see a construction site ahead of the tractor trailer.

ReplyDeleteUsing the ramp to drive on 2 wheels only works in the movies...
