Jeez, what's next?

ATLANTA (NewsNation Now) — Supply chain woes are not over just yet. A national tire shortage is now making those winter roads harder and more expensive to navigate.

David Hay, president of Hay Tires Pros, said the shortage is a mixture of a squeeze on global shipping containers, pandemic disruptions within the rubber sector and a rise in demand from China.

  1. It is affecting everything. It will continue, and even get worse.
Those old enough will remember the stories from USSR of record harvests, but starvation due to inability to move it. Communism dis-incentivizes hard work and success, and you can expect it accordingly.

    2. Slight correction, comrade. The proletariat can't get the goods they need. The nomenklatura and above can get whatever they want. Communism rocks, if you're at the top of the pyramid.

  3. I will have to get tires for the wife's car this year. I priced them last month and a set was going to cost about $1100. I have a feeling it will be $1400 when I need them.

  4. Glad I got new skins for my '02 Sierra this past summer. And a freshly rebuilt tranny. 250,000 mi. and going strong. Just needs a new drivers seat. Left my 80 lb. puppy in the cab while visiting a friend. He thought that by shredding the left thigh cusion (close to where the door handle is) and seat belt was the way to open the door. Another trip to pick n pull I guess... Ohio Guy
