I went into a icy creek, in the middle of March, with small ice floes coming down stream. I clawed my way out as quickly as I could, but I was damn near froze. I would have a hard time forcing myself to do it on purpose.
Reminds me of my Swedish cousins. They break ice to go swimming; love that cold! As for me, well you'll find me sitting close to the campfire or in the sauna!
The lady is a Russian pediatrician. Her name is Alina Naumova, & she was walking with her three kids. It was her dog. The dog was chasing ducks. The other ladies helped her with blankets & dry clothes. It takes some googling, but that's about everything I could find on it.
Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do and she did it! Good on her!
