Biden Stumbles Toward War - Russians Move On U.S. Submarine
For weeks now the Biden administration, hopelessly compromised and looking at political annihilation in the coming midterm elections, has flirted with disaster. Desperate to regain credibility and to counter the obvious impotence of the man in the White House, Joe’s mandarins have made all sorts of vaguely threatening pronouncements regarding Ukraine and shoved forward a wide range of U.S. military assets into Eastern Europe.

Been there, done that on a fast attack a long time ago. There was no chance in hell the sub was going to surface, and it probably did a slow (quiet) scoot out of the area. We shadow them, they shadow us, the Great Game continues.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, f'ing idiot journalists screw up the basics, the sub would have deployed a *sonar* decoy, not a radar decoy. And that is only if you believe the Russkie's report.
Assuming it was a US sub detected by the Rooshians, one has to wonder if the commander/crew either screwed up and got detected, it was purely chance, or the sub allowed itself to be detected on purpose just to let 'em know we're watching 'em.

For full disclosure, I checked with a friend who is a retired submariner (he was the COB on his last boat) and these were the scenarios he put forth if it was indeed a sub. He also mentioned that it may be propaganda as he doesn't know how many times his boat was supposedly chased by Soviet destroyers while it was sitting near the bottom in the Sea of Okhotsk.
fasten your seat belts, this is going to be a rough ride. Back in the late 70's we trained for bio-war with Russia, they have shit that makes the wuhan flu look like a joke.

The entire Sea of Okhotsk is no more Russia's territorial waters than the Gulf of Mexico is ours. There are very specific definitions in international law of what is considered territorial waters - usually 12 miles. But even using the 200 mile economic exclusion zone would not include the entire Sea of Okhotsk. Russia (or China) would be entirely within their rights to put a submarine 50 miles off the *west* coast of Florida.

I think the Russia/Ukraine story has been pumped up by our media and when nothing happens Biden's camp will declare a victory.
