MEMPHIS, Tenn. — As MLGW works to restore power, there are still some concerns about downed trees. Forty-nine service requests were still open across the city Wednesday night.

MLGW President and CEO JT Young outlined COVID and retaining workers as some of the issues they’ve had with contractors over the last two years. Another possibility is these contractor crews were getting robbed.
Progressive, blue, democrat, liberal run city. It will be that way until you get rid of the politicians and grifters (but I repeat myself...), or declare no bag limit, one weekend only.
My son lived there in 2013 or so for a couple of years. we visited a couple of times and I loved it. Of course we only saw the nice, safe areas. My son is still in contact with people there and says the safe zone is shrinking day by day. It's a crying shame what's happened there. I was born in Atlanta and have regrets of my own.
You know, COVID. So we couldn't keep crews on the job where they were needed. A gun in the face? That might have been a problem, too.

Not just a possibility, it's happening. I spent the last two weeks in that shithole (for work), and it's on the news.

ReplyDeleteI've been contemplating a trip along I-40 which passed through Memphis and Nashville. I'm thinking of hiring a tailgunner.
