My daughter knew me well enough to never even think about that, and told me so once. She married a nice quarter native american software engineer and I'm happy as hell for her.
My oldest daughter's husband, and the father of my first grandchild, is black/Puerto Rican. I told my Sweetie Pie long ago that who she marries is her decision to make. I don't care if he's white, black, brown, red, or yellow, or any combination of those, as long as he's a decent human being and is good to her and their children. Danny ain't perfect but he works hard for his family and treats them well, so we're good.
I think making a choice would be easier if you had to pick the one you liked least. These are always terrific and the best part of my day. Thank you!!

DeleteI would assume she told dad at the top of the stairs and did not take it well. Just as a guess.
DeleteI would not do it but I know some who would
