Bill to end gun licenses moves through Georgia Senate
A bill moving through the Georgia Senate would eliminate licenses to carry guns in public—whether they’re concealed or not.
Right now, people in Georgia are required to have a license in order to carry a loaded handgun outside their homes, businesses or cars. But that could change with the new constitutional carry bill.
Exactly. Bootlicking statist shills like this 'instructor' are a bigger threats to freedom than the blue haired leftist crowd. They're traitors and deserve our scorn and contempt.
There is zero instruction in Georgia to get your weapon carry permit anyway. Just makes it easier for people who can't pass the background check. Like all of Atlanta......
There's a similar bill in Colorado. Has been every legislative session since forever. Never goes anywhere though, the Denver area is too liberal and has too much political power. Carrying in Denver county legally is about impossible, but lots of people do it anyway. I did, when I was working there. About got carjacked one night, so I can say with confidence it was the right decision, and fortunately didn't need to get police involved so there wasn't any consequences for me there. Damned inner city idiots anyway.
Living in Georgia, I applaud this. I read somewhere however that those of us that have a permit to concealed carry are still better off for it if we travel over state lines. Apparently many states that have reciprocity laws want a CCW to be had, so there's apparently still a benefit to having the permit.
Both Tennessee and Kentucky have permitless carry so there's no worry if I'm traveling locally, but I'll still renew my permit when it comes due for the reason you stated.
I smiled as I thought of the look that the disgusting ball of lard (named after a damned fine tank) would have etched into the 47 lbs sheet of fat she calls a face if this passed. I assure you, it is the only time anything dealing with her excuse of a face made me smile. -Just A Chemist
The nice thing about renewal in TX; after you've been licensed for 20 years with no incidents, you can renew on line. There might even be an over 60 discount, not sure.
Scary to the guy making a meager living as an 'instructor' of the regime..

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately this bill will die.

Same as with Utah, if you want to carry in a reciprocal state you need to have that license.
