Tennessee lawmakers propose charging dog owners who chain pets during severe weather
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Two Tennessee lawmakers have filed legislation which would make it a crime to restrain a dog outdoors during certain severe weather events.
*
SB2243/HB2860 would make it a Class C misdemeanor for a person to " knowingly restrain a dog with a chain, cord, tether, cable, or similar device while a natural or manmade disaster is imminent or occurring."
Chaining an animal outside only shows that an animal lives in the house. If you can not properly care for your pets then you need to find someone that can. And people wonder why dear old daddy government thinks its in charge of all those things it really wants to do to and for you.
I had a Siberian Husky who during a blizzard would go out, dig a hole in the snow, use it as a den, and refuse to come in for a good long time. She was not distressed in the least.
Sucks that cruel dumbshits created a need for a law against this.

ReplyDeleteThere are some breeds of dog that prefer being tied out, particularly in snowy weather ... e.g., huskies, malemutes.
ReplyDeleteAnother one-size fits all stupid law.
whew - I am so glad to see its still legal to chain house cats and liberals outside during a disaster
ReplyDeleteHold up bro, I like cats. Would appreciate if you’d tie up the libs behind the barn, cant stand their whining.
DeleteAnother case of Nancy Knowit-Alls writing laws instead of solving problems. SMH to dumbassery

ReplyDeleteI have a husky who goes out on a cable to do his business. When he's done, he comes back in. When it snows, he refuses to come in. At all.
ReplyDeleteAnother example of the idiocy of the statement "there ought to be a law."
