It's been at least 25 years since I bought packaged bacon from a grocery store. Every pan of bacon in my house has come from a local butcher where I have the options of whole slab, sliced; skin on, or sliced; skin pulled. How thick is always up to me. I don't know that I could go back to Oscar Meyer or Smithfield.
Rollins knows his shit. Since I retarded I do most the cooking and he is a good reference.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget Breakfast Burritos! Always delicioso, and even a Bozo like me can't screw 'em up!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but I'm suddenly hungry.
Yo tengo mucho hambre!

Man, I was thinking about that post the other day. I thought it was lost when my old site crashed.
DeleteBut seriously, 2009? Holy shit.
Yep, that was a good one.
DeleteYour book should have a chapter devoted to cooking.
And don't forget fried Catfish.

ReplyDeleteI don't have time to tend bacon in a pan, I throw it in the oven. And cooking it in the oven makes for clear grease.
ReplyDeleteBacon in an oven? You should be shot.
