SARCOXIE, Mo. (KSNF) — A former Missouri teacher charged with having sexual relations with a student is now having her charges dropped after she and the student married.
Baylee Turner, who taught English at Sarcoxie High School in 2019 at age 23, was charged that year with having sexual intercourse with one of her male students.
Question is; was marriage contingent on his passing an entrance exam or was he simply serving apprenticeship before being certified?
ReplyDeleteWait, she admitted doing the deed, he admitted her doing his deed but now suddenly their testimonies aren't valid for prosecution ? That makes no fucking sense

Bear Claw Chris Lapp below has a valid point. Otherwise, the prosecutor also has to wonder if the jury won't figure, screw it, they're married, let them go. I'd have a hard time convicting in this case, especially since it means someone else would be let out (revolving door) who is more of a danger to the public.
DeleteSpouse cannot be compelled to testify
ReplyDeleteBut they've already made statements of the sexual abuse to the courts so nobody needs to testify, I. Essence they already have
