American gun sales remained strong in 2021, with nearly 19 million firearms sold legally in the U.S., the second-highest total over the past two decades, according to new research from the home and personal safety group SafeHome.
Sales fell 13% from the high of 2020, but were still 40% higher than 2019, annual data compiled by SafeHome.org reveals.
Sales may be slowing, but it still blows my mind how many firearms are 'Not In Stock'.
ReplyDeleteI've got a friend who has been waiting for a Smith and Wesson Model 69 for more than six months now.
Democrats voting for gun control are buying them all up 'for self protection'.
DeleteWhat is the ratio of guns sold or bought without a nics check? Anyone have any idea of that number
ReplyDeleteBackwoods Okie
By definition we do not know. I can only say for certain that the number is at least two :)
DeleteTwelve...
DeleteI went to the safehome.org site listed as a reference. Whoever wrote that study can’t accurately articulate what they mean to state. They refer to Alaska as a “small state” more than once.
ReplyDeleteBuddha
Only in the number of residents.
DeleteThe drawback to all those record setting gun sales is there is no way to feed em. Been waiting on primers and powder for well over a year now. Backordered - out of stock, for everything but a few canisters of black powder.
ReplyDeleteCourse I guess you can always use em as clubs.
I read from a reliable source, that if all the guns in the USA were model 1911's and stuck end to end, they would circle the earth 2 times with 9465 miles left over. And you wanna fuck with us!
I have had good luck recently with the local Ace Hardware for some powders.
DeleteNo primers, though - - - -
Also, read on another blog S&W stock is >down< cuz of slowing sales.
ReplyDeleteThen again, it's the media.....
