Government website wants to prepare you for a nuclear explosion, just in case

Ready.gov, which is a public service site that prepares Americans for disasters, recently updated its website to include a nuclear explosion emergency.

While there has been no indication that a nuclear explosion emergency is on the horizon, Ready wants to get you prepared, just in case.

*****

At the ready.gov link, there's this gem:

Try to maintain a distance of at least six feet between yourself and people who are not part of your household. If possible, wear a mask if you’re sheltering with people who are not a part of your household.

Yeah, like I'm going to be thinking, "HOLY SHIT WE JUST GOT NUKED!!!  WHERE'S MY MASK, I DON'T WANT TO CATCH A SNIFFLE!!!"

  2. As with all of recent events, if a handful do go off, you can bet they are self-inflicted.

  3. It's actually worse than being posted on "Ready.com". It appears the source for this "advice" is actually the FEMA website!

  7. The best way to be prepared for nuclear explosions is to stay very limber.
Do your stretching exercises so that you can bend over and kiss your ass goodbye
