Actually, it ain't that big of a deal as long as it's only the people that work in the store and not the warehouse workers and truck drivers.
Every time the grocery workers strike there, there's plenty of scabs to take up their slack and shoppers will just walk past the strike line. I've seen it happen time and time again over the years.
Last time that they went on strike in Southern California, Stater Brothers stated they would accept the same deal as the other stores -- so they didn't strike Stater Brothers. Staters made a fortune.
ReplyDeleteThe workers absolutely took it in the shorts. They didn't get any of their stated demands and it cost the employees thousands. A lot of the weaker, under performing stores went under -- leaving the workers unemployed.
It turned out to be a really stupid maneuver on the part of the employees.
Besides, Walmart is there to take up the slack with their self-checkout. The strikers have the short-sightedness to think that getting the customers to leave the store is a great idea.
One striker told me to shop elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteOkay and I very rarely go back to that store.
