SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — An investigation is underway after the California Department of Fish and Wildlife says a postal worker killed a wild turkey in Sacramento.
Video captured some of the aggressive turkeys in the Arden Arcade area — Morse and Creekside to be exact — and you can see them next to the postal truck.
Two thoughts. 1) Thankfully finally found someone NOT afraid of a damn bird (I'll exclude ostriches and emus from that comment as from personal experience, they will FUCK you up). 2) While I have no problem with the end result, I would have probably not killed the bird, but maybe wished it were dead when I was finished with it. I've messed with some aggressive (domestic) turkeys and never really felt like my well being was in danger. But that's just me.
ReplyDeleteRay, geese can be pretty mean. Swans, too.
DeleteThe mandibles on Macaws, Amazon and African parrots, and Cockatoos can and have caused major physical damage to human flesh. I've also had a go-around with a very tall and aggressive swan.
ReplyDeleteYou can get plenty of damage from turkeys. Like swans and geese, they'll beat you with their wings, and they'll use their claws to slice you up. The turkeys were INTRODUCED to teh area? If it was not a case of turkeys being REintroduced, then some morons in state government need to have their asses kicked, since there would be no natural predators to keep their numbers down. Then, there are the PETA jackoffs who would interfere with hunts, and have probably been after the legislature to ban hunting. There are a whole lot of fuckups reproducing in SoCal.
