#1- Helping Dad cut firewood after hours. That machine has a preset so all that little logger has to do is punch a button and the log will advance to where the next round will be cut.

Drove to work one day and one of the guys asked me to check out an odd noise from the engine compartment of his car. Motor was off but there was a faint intermittent squeak, barely audible. A tiny kitten was in the air intake and had survived the 20-mile commute to work.
I adopted him and he was a damn good cat. Liked to ride around on my shoulder like a parrot. I miss that little guy...
#8 looks like Maryland - at first - but there's not enough traffic congestion and the roadside is visible, something you cannot see here because of knee deep trash.
