    1. Sadly, I’m this day and age both you and the perp are likely to have a tracking device in your pocket. If someone wants to find him, it’s best not to be the last person he was with.

      Just something to consider.

    2. Always do. I have a nice radio resistant phone wallet, as the phone is never really off.

  2. So, if a person is just a wage earner, or retired then it looks like he better not defend himself. Who has money for all that insurance

    1. Basic coverage is $11/mo. I pay $17, for extra coverage 1)everywhere in the country, and 2) extra expert witness coverage.

  3. What happens and what the costs would be depends far more on the political beliefs and agenda of the local prosecutor than the actual facts.

  4. The bastards put me on a $5000 bail so that was 10% or $500 to get out . Chump change . The lawyer , who was very good , was $500 down and $500 at conclusion. Total $1000 and I was sprung .

  5. When I took my concealed carry class, the instructor told us $300,000.00 if you pull the trigger and hit someone. He cited a case where a citizen had to kill a vicious dog (got out of fenced yard) that was attacking him; cost $150,000.00. Many more like this. KB.
