More than half of smartphone users say a dead battery is a ‘nightmare scenario’

LOS ANGELES - How long can you go without your phone? According to a recent survey published by data company OnePoll, six out of ten people say they "couldn’t cope" with being separated from their phones for a single day.

  1. If I didn't have to check Knuckledraggin 6 x a day it would be much easier to spend time away from the phone

  5. Mine spends most of its time safely tucked away in the kitchen junk drawer.
Pisses my family off when they call, only to hear the junk drawer ringing...

  6. go to any CVS or Walgreens, in the electronics section they sell a (fully charged) external battery that you can plug a smartphone into and continue using it with only slight inconvenience. Under $20.
Or don't just own a 'smartphone'.

  7. Guess those folks will be the first to curl up and die after some fool lights off an EMP bomb and tanks the grid. If your cell phone dying is a "nightmare" you haven't lived much of a life

  8. I use a disconnected phone (never truly disconnected) as a work camera but other than that, no phone. My other phone stays on top of my loud computer with fans blowing on it.
