Haven’t seen Fauci lately. Probably needed them for a new science project. CDC says it will be safe and effective, so nothing to see here, move along. Eod1sg Ret
ENT residents and dental surgeons use them to learn detailed anatomy and practice head surgery before being set loose on actual patients. Easier to store than a whole cadaver, which they don't need. Very expensive and sad loss.
I inherited my grandparents house 35yrs ago. While cleaning up I found a box with a skull & left hand bones professionally wired up. Local police didn't care so I found a company in NY that gave me $1,000 for the skull & $100 for the hand. Wonder what they go for now.
Human skulls are actually pretty pricey, science, witches, and the creepy types all pay for them. I'm actually surprised grave robbing isn't more common simply for the skulls.
Gives a whole new meaning to "getting head".
ReplyDeleteThe University of Colorado Anschutz. I wonder if they have a shooting team or gunsmithing school.

The last full real skeleton I priced was $3500 at Maxillas and Mandibles in NYC in 1997. I opted for the $500 plastic one instead.
