I bought my first online mattress a couple of year ago, and it was delivered packaged like this. Hard to believe all those steel springs and webbing can withstand it. Thing weighed about 90 lb. You have to be careful opening it, and let it decompress for about 6-8 hours before first using it. Weird seeing a king size mattress that's normally about 18" thick rolled up like a sleeping bag, but it worked out Ok.
LOL, I bought an adjustable bed and the mattress came packaged that way. Interesting to see how it was done.

Kind of like a Seal-A-Meal for big kids.
ReplyDeleteExplains why I can't roll it up and store it in the box it came in.

ReplyDeleteI thought was only for pure foam mattresses. Metal structural members wouldn't take it.

If you can get it back in the box, you can return it.

I finally was in too much pain to forego a new mattress. It's helping.
ReplyDeleteIt's all good unless you need to ship it back because there's something wrong with it.....
