Apparently, the people concerned about the harvesting of pigs have never seen photos of a coyote or wolf eating a calf being eaten while being delivered out of its mother's birth canal. Then they get to work on the mother cow.
I know it's not a pleasant thought, but it's the truth and the way the world actually works.
Most folks have never seen mother nature at work, red in tooth and claw. Oblivious to the brutality of the world because it hasn't really visited them.
Not sure where the picture is from, but you don't want to kill most animals while the rest of them are standing there watching. The freak out releases adrenalin in the live ones(hence a quick kill with electricity, frinstance) and that taints the flavor of the final product, I'm told. Cattle fer sure, maybe chickens.

I just want to say this, just in case any of the "outside issues" come true. Sincerely Ken, thank you for the last 2 or 3 years or so, that I have been creeping around here. I know I do not talk much, but I know you and I would have been good friends back in the day with taste in music, guns and the usual guy stuff. I have appreciated the humor, the tears and the fight against the "man". Hopefully the lights and internet stay on, and I am just jumping the gun, so to speak. Respectfully... Charlie C.

#9 One of my first memories was when I was three years old and I watched as my parents and grandparents butchered domestic rabbits. I remember watching the guts come out after they got hit in the head with a hammer, I have watched a steer get shot in the head and my uncle slitting it's throat to bleed out. I have been up to my elbows in deer blood and guts numerous times and this picture is supposed to stop me from eating pork what a joke.
