Stupid is as stupid does

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police and health officials in Virginia raced to help save the life of a man in Richmond who was bitten by his own pet viper, which is listed as one of the world’s deadliest snakes.

I generally avoid keeping pets that can kill me, although I did keep a Western Diamondback rattler along with a few of those vicious little brown Mexican scorpions in the house for a year or two back in the 1980s.

  1. Must be nuts to keep a Gaboon Viper. They have the largest fangs of all snakes.

  2. When I first got out of vet school in the 90's I had a client who fancied himself a real life Crocodile Dundee or Steve Irwin, before either one of them were famous. He brought me a sick, baby gator, I worked on it. He bought me a sick black water snake, mean as shit, but not poisonous, I worked on it. Comes in one day, opens tupperware container, turns it upside down on exam table and releases a pygmy rattler that wasn't eaten. I told him get that damn thing out of here and never bring a poisonous animal in here again.

  4. What about the women you had over the years? I’ve had a few that fit the dangerous, poisonous and so on categories!
