Tennessee state senator offers Hitler as inspiration to homeless

A Tennessee state senator on Wednesday used Adolf Hitler as an example of inspiration and hope for the homeless during a speech on the floor of the state’s upper chamber.

Tennessee state Sen. Frank Niceley (R) made his remarks on the Senate floor during a debate on a bill to make camping or soliciting along state highways or exit ramps a misdemeanor.

  1. He has a point, maybe unintentionally. Endless plunder eventually has consequences.

  3. In 1907, Hitler’s mother died - Adolph was 18 and left homeless ad subsequently decided to move to Vienna where he worked as a casual laborer and watercolorist. Hitler applied to the Academy of Fine Arts and was rejected twice; the lack of money forced him to live in shelters. During these years he showed an early interest in German nationalism and the rejection of the authority of Austria-Hungary. This nationalism would become the motivating force of Hitler’s life.

    Nicely is full of shit.

    1. He was also a WWI combat vet and probably had PTSD times a million. If not certifiably insane. Half his political agenda was to reverse the outcome of WWI.

  5. Instead of using Hitler as an example he might have considered a Liberal Black Celebrity, like Halle Berry or Djimon Hounsou.
