Ask me if I give a shit

A new report finds deaths, injuries and hospitalizations increased after the installation of a section of the 30-foot southern border wall in California. The new barriers were added at the direction of President Trump in a 2017 executive order.

*****

The wall is high. They can see that it's high, yet they still try to scale it.
To me, it's like putting up an electric fence with graphic signs six inches apart. If somebody sees those signs and reaches out and grabs ahold of it anyway, I'm supposed to feel bad?
Not hardly, I'm going to laugh at their dumbassery.

    1. I can't wait to see how the republicans will continue to masturbate about how great a wall is and how human beings shouldn't have the freedom of movement when the guns are turned inwards and America becomes a prison...

  2. Nothing says "We don't want you invading our country" like a nice tall fence.

  3. Absolutely. I'm a born-and-raised San Diegan. I remember in teh 80's when they used to crash the Tijuana crossing en mass and some would get hit by cars. Fuck around and find out: gravity and kinetics

We're paying $3 million a day for the fence NOT to be built. Everything Biden does is ass-backwards, have you noticed? He's a traitor that deserves to be naked in a concrete floor cell in Gitmo. Throw the rest of his crime family in with him.

  7. I remember my favorite uncle telling me this story when I was young. Today of course, it is considered politically incorrect, so remember that it happened before WWII.
It seems that in the small town that I grew up in, it has always been mostly poor, white, working class, with usually a few black families, and some migrant workers who came and stayed. So when my uncle was almost a teenager, him and a couple of his buddies talked a younger black boy into pissing on an electric fence.
He told me that after that, that young black kid would not even so much as look at them, he was so mad at them.
Of course, this is the same uncle who quit school in the 8th grade, and went to work for one of my two great uncles, who owned lumber mills in the same small town. We have a river that connects ultimately with Lake Michigan, and so a lot of logs used to be sent down stream, and they started to make pallets and crates for the abundant fruit that is grown in Michigan. He would work for one uncle for 4-5 months, until he got pissed off about something, and then would go to the other uncle's mill and work for him, until he got pissed off there, and then went back again. I guess he did this several times, before the uncles told him, no more.
So my uncle went into the construction business, and ultimately ended up building almost all of the houses that are not 80-100 years old in the old town.
Like I said, he was my favorite uncle, and in his later years, all of his friends had died, his wife had also passed. He had grandkids, and kids who would come and visit him, and I also drove up to see him. But he told me, when the loneliness got to be too much, he had a .22 magnum revolver in the closet, and he would not go on any longer.
My uncle was a man of his word. One day, one of his 2 daughters called to check on him, and there was no answer. So she called the other daughter, and with her son and the other daughters husband, they went there, at his split level house on the river that he and his wife had built, and found him, sitting peacefully in his chair, plastic all around on the floor, and the pistol laying there as well as the hole in the back of his head, just behind his ear. He was 92 years old when he passed away, or rather, when life passed him by.
I don't know if I would have the courage to do what he did. But he died the death of a man that I respected and loved. And I am glad that he didn't live long enough to see what has happened over the past few years since he has been gone. I can hardly stand it myself.

  8. Sounds like we need to redesign it ... to be about 50 feet high. Sooner or later those hospitalizations just become a trip to the morgue.

    1. it isn't broken, so don't fix it. just finish it. the root problem that I see is the decided lack of tangle foot and razor wire at the approach face of the fence. nothing says go home like tangle foot and razor wire except maybe a bit of concertina wire along the top and laced into it at about twenty feet up.
