Pelosi pushes back on archbishop who denies her Communion

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed back Tuesday on the decision by San Francisco’s conservative Catholic archbishop to deny her Communion over her support of abortion rights, saying she respects that people have opposing views but not when they impose them on others.

The California Democrat says she comes from a large family with many members who oppose abortion. “I respect people’s views about that. But I don’t respect us foisting it onto others.” Pelosi added, “Our archbishop has been vehemently against LGBTQ rights. In fact he led the way in an initiative on the ballot in California.”

*****

This is coming from a politician that has been 'foisting'..... naw, hell no, I'll call it straight..... shoving that LGBT shit down ours and our children's throats without any regard to our wishes, morals and principles, and now she's saying it's not fair that the archbishop is just enforcing his church's standards on her?
Shut the fuck up, Pelosi.

  1. Okay, serious question here that I’ve asked many times but have never gotten a straight answer to…
What rights do LGBTQ people NOT have that other people do? We’re bombarded daily about “equal rights for LGBTQ”. If they can explain to me what “rights” they don’t have that I do, I might be a little more sympathetic to their cause.

    1. Who knows, all I know is a quote from Christ "as in the days of Sodom"

    2. The memes are all too accurate. Things went from "We just want to exist" to "We're gonna teach your 1st grader about anal" in barely two decades.

  2. Next step...excommunication from the church.

    3. Technically, that is an excommunication as being told by Church officials one may not partake in Communion, one is denied the Body of Christ. Nasty Nancy was directed by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone she may not present herself for Communion and therefore cannot be part of the body of the Church. Nancy publicly defied the teachings of the Church and committed a mortal sin by promoting abortion. I cannot tell you how scandalous her actions are; she has corrupted herself within the Church.

Whether one believes it or not, this is a big deal.

    4. Dammit! I forgot to add my name to the screed about Pelosi. Shit, I hate the new way of commenting; it’s a pain.

    5. Bobo, there's a new commenting form? I'm not seeing it on my end.

    6. Yes, and this is why I have seen an uptick in “anonymous “ postings on the blog, not only yours though. Sending pics to your email.

    7. Wow, sometimes it's like they go out of their way to make things difficult. I've still got the old method on my end - post my comment, hit publish and that's it.

  3. They claim the right to force our children to join them... That, and be able to override ANYONE else's opinion about what is right and proper. Exhibit A is that freak in Canada that sued a salon that offers waxing services to women and refused to wax his balls...

  4. From what is happening here this weekend in my small city of Muskegon, MI, it sounds like they want the right to parade down the street in clothing, using the term loosely, that would get a heterosexual arrested. It is the first year that they are celebrating Gay Pride here.
Fortunately, my wife and I planned to spend a week out of town, celebrating our 30th anniversary. Our destination? The east coast, with time in Providence, the Hamptons, and other places that my wife always wanted to visit. I am sure that things will be much calmer there.
Actually, we really didn't consider the Gay Pride weekend, when we made plans for the trip. And after the money was put down, even if we would have considered changing our minds, it was too late. But I have no problem with anyone behaving however they want to, as long as they don't attempt to cause me or my wife any problem.
In high school, I pumped gas at the main gas station in our small town that was a major cross roads of two highways. One year, the word came down that they were going to hold what was called a Women's Music Festival. It was held in the country, at the end of a two track, with a couple of women guarding the entrance, with rifles.
Since our gas station was the main one, we were super busy, and I worked Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 pm, and Sunday from 9 to 9. That first year, I believe that the main musical act was Melissa Manchester.
The one thing that was quite apparent from the get go was that it was actually a Lesbian music festival. Of course, our small town welcomed the 5,000 people coming to spend their money, even though back in the late 1970's, it was unusual. Sure, we had a couple of gay female teachers that lived together, and everyone accepted it, with no problem, they were really great teachers, and great people.
There were the odd incidents, like one of the women dropped her drawers and took a piss right in front of the bank in the middle of town. And in the women's bathroom at my gas station, someone busted the sink off the wall, and put the garbage can over the resulting spray of water, and took off. So the manager, a woman who went to school with my sister, and a friend of the family, shut the bathrooms down.
Within about 3-4 hours, two women from the festival came to the gas station, and asked what was going on. When they found out what had happened, they were super apologetic, and almost begged the boss to reopen the bathrooms again, and they would pay for any repairs, up to and including replacing the flooring if needed.
Well, we fixed the bathroom, they paid for not only the parts, but the time spent fixing it, and we reopened the bathrooms, and did not have a single problem from then on. The festival went on for several years, and a friend of my ex wife's went to deliver something, with one of the owners of the property that they were renting. She told my ex that she had never seen so many different size, colors and shapes of tits in her life.
I know that it sounds like a pain in the ass, but just imagine if 5,000 straight men came to a small town like mine, to have a music festival in the boonies. No doubt they would tear the town apart. One thing that I almost forgot, it was just like the ammo shortage of today, you could not buy a round of .22 LR anywhere near the area. You had to drive almost 40 miles to the nearest city, where I live now. All in all,it was a lot of fun!??

I disagree. it depends on the demographics. a Rap festival. yes. rock concert? maybe. country? maybe. bluegrass or Celtic? no way.

    2. Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival. Note the “Y”. Ironically shut down by trans activists because MWMF had a “biological females” only policy.

Learned about MWMF from reading the comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For by Allison Bechdel. Yes, of the “Bechdel test”. Though it was an ironic joke in the comic strip and not exactly meant to be serious.

  5. No one is forcing her to do anything. If she wants Communion in a Christian church, she has to be willing to admit and atone for her sins. That's the deal. Her complaints are like complaining that the Ferrari dealer is forcing you to do something you don't want to do by requiring you to pay for the car.

  6. I'm a lapsed Methodist so I don't know anything but it seems to me that an Archbishop's pronouncement on matters of doctrine aren't just opinion.

  9. Hey, you wrinkled old prune. The Catholic Church (like it or not - and I depsise the boydiddlers) has been around for a long time and it's rules pre-date even you, Nancy. If you don't like their ancient rules denounce your religion you decrepit hypocritical piece of rotting shit.

  11. These people are worse than pretend Christians. They are the opposite. They use it to push their communist/pagan belief system under the false pretense that it's the right thing to do.

  14. She respects that people have opposing views but not when they impose them on MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

  15. so she wouldn't impose her views on slave holders then. or child molesters, or people who don't want to be taxed?

  16. I like how she she uses "LGBT+++" and "abortion" interchangeably back and forth.
