Meanwhile, in the shithole I came from.....

STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. — The search for a man accused of domestic violence led to the discovery of a suspected puppy mill where 150 dogs were found at a Stanislaus County home, officials said Friday.

Sgt. Luke Schwartz with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said 150 dogs mistreated and malnourished dogs were rescued from a duplex on Roselawn Avenue. The suspected puppy mill was discovered while deputies were searching for Nicholas Baugh, a man who on April 30 reportedly hit a woman with an ashtray and used a shock collar on her.

Granted, Roselawn Avenue is in west Modesto, one of the shittier neighborhoods, but 150 dogs in a duplex and nobody says anything?

  1. Its funny when my kids were younger they used to love to watch a kids cartoon movie called 'monsters vs aliens' and the having read your blog I knew the depiction of modesto was very far from the truth. They show it as this peaceful little down with big old houses, large expanses of lawns and crime free.
