Meanwhile, in Tennessee.....

No shit, I've actually seen this at Lafayette's Sonic.

    1. Nope. I have a 1996 Cub 2165 that I mowed 2 acres with for 25 years. I have a 40" snow thrower that I used for the same amount of time. Of course, they were still using parts and tooling from International Harvester at that time. None of that MTD shit.

I'm still using her for snow removal, but for mowing, I replaced her with an Exmark Radius last year.

  5. Lafayette? Surely you're not surprised. I wouldn't be surprised to see that in Portland, Westmoreland or Gallatin.

  6. I would have gassed up before transporting the body for burial.

  7. Sonic used to be good when they bought local fresh meat and bread and had homemade onion rings serving fresh cooked burgers. Corporate Sonic ruined it now that franchises are required to buy everything frozen from them and serving reheated food.

  9. We never know what other people are going through. They may be getting by the best they can.

  10. I see this on almost a daily basis. My neighbor who mows and fixes and sells lawnmowers, etc. rides around on a John Deere lawn tractor with matching trailer and sometimes has one of his many girlfriends riding side saddle with him. It´s quite a sight!

He´ll also rides around on his commercial Ferris mower between lawns. I saw him the other day pulling up to the gas pumps on the Ferris at a Circle K as I was leaving. I stopped and bullshitted with him for a while at the pumps.

Tennessee does not have much over upstate or Central New York when it comes to redneck or country ways. I have seen it or lived it and experienced it in more ways then I can count.

    1. Some of those quoted mowers cost more than a car

    2. Brand new mowers versus older used car maybe but that´s assuming the mowers I talked about are very recent models but they are not.

My neighbor picks up very used and worn out mowers and such then rebuilds and repairs them back to working condition. The Ferris I mentioned he acquired after a friend of his past away suddenly.
