  2. I fish Blue Mesa reservoir Gunnison Colorado. It is being sacrificed to save Lake Powell. No one will say if too much water is being used, or if not enough water is in all the rivers that feed the Colorado river. Prolly the fed gov is going to have to decide if hydro power plant river flow is more important or water for cities and farming. Cause it's looking like they can't have both. To many people using water like it's unlimited.

  3. Awesome history. I'm in the construction business and I bid on replacing all of the elevators in the dam about 7/8 years ago. Toured every inch of the dam. Very impressive. We didn't get the job. I haven't watched the video yet but at the bottom of the dam; on top of the powerhouse is a lawn that was dedicated/chosen by Lady Bird Johnson. They likely mentioned that in the video. Hoover dam is very similar. If you are ever in Page AZ, hike to the middle of the bridge that overlooks the dam. Crazy high!! Beautiful area.

  4. Here in TX; we're slowly adding to our water reclamation system.
Seen drought conditions here many times in the past; usually followed by flooding.
Gutters around all roofs & 250 gallons of storage, so far.
If things get really FUBAR, you still need to water the garden!

  5. 30 years ago, my wife and I took a boat from Page Az. through lake Powell up to Rainbow Bridge. It was pretty incredible.

  6. I am just a carpenter but at first glance it looks like the blue hose with the solenoid does the most work. Kinda strange for something blue. The rest must be supervisors. They still have a function but don't really work near as much functionaly. They also are higher pressure and have more stress on them.
