When I worked on a contract at Lucent Technologies in 1998, there was a 104 year old man who worked with Thomas Edison in the 1920s, and was still working 4 days/week. His Fridays were reserved for golfing and tennis. Very sharp engineer; I wish that I could have stayed there longer, but there were problems not related to my work that forced me to leave after @6 months.
Of course, he's of German extraction. It was his kind of dedication that built the 3rd Reich.
ReplyDeleteUm, a significant portion of the American population is of germanic extraction. Calling all us Nazi's is not very smart.
DeleteReally? Or did it just SEEM like that long?
ReplyDeleteNew record set for 2022...84 days!
