They are using the same techniques we used before OSHA. Also they are using those same techniques making steel in the steel factories they bought for from us as scrap metal after we created OSHA. How many OSHA approved steel factories do we have in the US?
Wow! That brought back memories for me, a kid who grew up in Bethlehem, PA with a dad who worked in what they called a "hand mill" in the Bethlehem Steel plant. When I worked there for a few summers between semesters back in the 1970's, I watched him do exactly what these guys were doing, except on a much larger scale; using tongs to grab red-hot steel as it emerged from one set of rolls and redirecting it into the next set. I know at least one worker was killed when a "cobble" (a steel ribbon that suddenly twisted or turned the wrong way) caught him in the abdomen. They don't make men like they used to. God rest my dad's soul.
As wn EMT had a call to steel plant. A ribbon jumped and as soon as it hit the guy, started cooling, contracting and wrapped the guy up. God rest his soul.
Same girl once sat on a truck tail gate and was able to ride up a steep hill without falling off. Luckily, there was a sheet metal screw where she sat ...
