Why am I not surprised?
An estimated $350 million in undisclosed royalties were paid to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and hundreds of its scientists, including the agency’s recently departed director, Dr. Francis Collins, and Dr. Anthony Fauci, according to a nonprofit government watchdog.

I wonder if any of the overpaid government crooks taking these payments claimed them on their income taxes.

ReplyDeleteWhy are scientists on the Federal payroll allowed to receive royalty payments for work they did when We The People were paying their salaries? This kind of double dipping shouldn't be allowed because We The People will ultimately foot the bill for the royalty payments, too. Damn the scam. It runs deep and it burns.

Same as going in to the office and when the boss leaves for the day you use the facilities to run your own business while still drawing a paycheck, maybe even ot, from the business you work for.

Fauci shouldn't get to retire, he needs to be prosecuted for his role in dissemination of information leading to the deaths of a large number folks, the destruction of the economy, etc. Wait, I know! Let's all pitch in and get him a necktie!
ReplyDeleteHe belongs in prison along with the rest of the corona bioweapon conspirators (including Bill Gates). Just go to the patent office website and use "Fauci" in the search field and see how many drug patents come up with his name on them.

ReplyDeleteThere's a process through which gubmint employees can receive patents for their work. Gubmint owns the patents, but the inventors get the royalties.
ReplyDeleteeven this is a drip in the bucket compared to grant funding to private entities for research that goes nowhere. millions of dollars at just one university wouldnt surprise me at all.

my opinion is that work produced with grant funding should be community property for one and all to use.

It looks bad, but - royalties are for things that have already been invented and patented, and put into production. Which scientist would you rather have working the cure? The one with 50 patents over the years for life-saving medicine, or the professor that wrote 100 papers on intersectionality and the gender wokeness of Petri dishes? We'd need to know what the royalties are for, relative to the government jobs they have now, to really understand it. You don't give up past achievements when you take a new job.
ReplyDeleteI dont want to defend this too much as i have known about this issue since beforw the vaccines were finished. These regulatory agencies hire experts from in the field. Hell they brag about it. Its not like they are being bribed with patent rights after they start working at the ffa/cec/nhs/etc. They are SCOUTED from big business because they have been active enough in thier fields in order to generate those patents in the first place. Thats why they are experts un thier fields in the first place. This story, as sensational as it is is a nothing burger unless they can show actual illegalities from the same scientists while preforming thier jobs as regulators.

Add that the politicians are sucking off the big pharma tit. There is not a change in sight. I would venture Fauci has killed a million minimum. He does not have the status of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, or Hitler but he is on his way. By the time side affects such as heart failure, blood clots, Aids, and organ failure are accounted for, I think he will pass them. You have a couple politicians such as rand paul, marjorie green and Johnson calling him out. But the other politicians of both parties are okay with it.
