Wirecutter plumbing 101

  1. I was in Quebec. A Harley and rough roads. All the ruts pot holes bouncing around my shifter came off. I didn't know this until I went to downshift for a little town I came to. Got to a garage in fourth and bought an old set and snapped them on. Rode that way about a hundred miles to the next Harley Shop.

  4. That's pretty nice work but you might have used a red handled grip for the hot side.

    1. Yes. But we need to remember this is Wirecutter 101 plumbing here, so the question remains; which side to put the red handle on?

  7. The wife's dryer timer went bad and with the covid scamdemic lingering, I called my local
appliance store to get a timer switch I could easily install. $159.95 with a min. of 6
months wait. So guess what our dryer timer looks like!

Hey Wirecutter, you should team up with 'ol Darrin at Vice Grip Garage. You guys could do a "uses for vice grips" gig...get some tool company to pay for it.

  10. Am I the only one who wants to flip the left one over for symmetry sake?
