I bet their family gatherings are fun as hell

This is the shocking moment cops dragged a Jet2 passenger off a plane after he is said to have “urinated on his brother” and taken part in a “full fist fight”.

Alfie and Kenneth Springthorpe were issued with a £50,000 fine by the airline after the flight from London Stansted Airport to Crete, Greece, on May 3.

  1. My family reunions are similar. Arguments, fights, and bad feelings all around. My wife went to two; she told me never again. My interaction with my siblings is a few sentences in a Christmas card. Even so, two of my siblings don't even do that. Oh well, good riddance and not anything that bothers me in any way. My father had similar relationships with his siblings.

Any time my family gets in contact with me, it is trouble. I have helped when I could, but never got a word of thanks.

    1. I have zero interaction with my family back in California. They're all a bunch of Leftists anyway so there's no love lost.
My family by marriage, though? I'm closer to my in-laws than I ever was to my blood family. They're all good, solid people.

    2. WC: Yes, my in-laws treated me pretty well, also. In Chinese culture, the daughters go to the husband's family and typically break bonds with their birth families. Chinese husbands have been known to treat their in-laws with open contempt. Not me, I treated my in-laws with respect and helped out as much as I could. My wife said that brought her family a bunch of good face. They have a name for the relationship: the Golden Son In-law. I was handy around the house and earned the accolade of "Mr. Toilet" because I solved a bunch of their plumbing problems. It was fun.
