It's a sad day

A hero dog credited with defending her female owner from a mountain lion attack in Northern California has died, the woman said Wednesday.

Eva, a 2.5-year-old Belgian Malinois, began having seizures last weekend at her home, Erin Wilson, 24, told the Sacramento Bee. Her condition worsened from there, despite being taken to an animal hospital at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

  1. My old coon dog passed away Monday evening . I She went blind Sunday night and slept out on the front porch . It got down to 50 that night so I covered her in her favorite blankie . I cooked her a nice big cube steak Monday afternoon and she wolfed it down and took a nap after which she walked to the bottom of the hill and stretched out for another nap and died . Gonna miss my old coon girl . Pure blood Tennessee Walker with the voice of an angel . I have had numerous Rotts , Dobies , and German Shepherds but this Walker was the very best guard /watch dog of them all . We suspect it was a supernatural anointing .

  3. Slight rewrite is called for.

    1. "My eyes were wet with tears, our little dog, when I bore thee (to the grave)... So, Patricus, never again shall thou give me a thousand kisses. Never canst thou be contentedly in my lap. In sadness have I buried thee, and thou deservist. In a resting place of marble, I have put thee for all time by the side of my shade. In thy qualities, sagacious thou wert like a human being. Ah, me! What a loved companion have we lost!"
