Tennessee Gas Prices Hit All Time High, Expected to Keep Climbing

Gas prices reached another all-time high in Tennessee Friday, and according to the American Automobile Association (AAA), they are only expected to continue rising.

“While drivers might have seen a small break in pump price increases this holiday weekend, we could be looking at the calm before the storm for gas prices,” Megan Cooper, a spokeswoman for AAA, reportedly said.

We hit $4.49 here in Lafayette this past weekend. There's no telling where it's at today and I'm afraid to go into town to look.

  1. Last week I drove past the Wal Mart at around 10 am. The Murphy's Gas had regular unleaded listed at $4.25. When I went back past it at 11:30 am, it was $4.59.

    1. We're at $4.49 across the board at Lafayette's 3 major stations - BP, Shell and Walmart which means it'll go up at least another 5 cents tonight. Walmart is usually 5 cents cheaper unless there's a price increase coming.

    1. Cry ME a river, there, anonymous. I can't imagine why anyone would still be living in a shithole like Chicago. Your choice, dude. Got no sympathy for the hell you choose to put yourself through...

    2. You're right, but...Grandkids a mile away. Wife is rather firm about it.

As for Chicago, I don't go there anymore. Guy could get himself shot.

  5. And the Saudis are loving it. They're in full support of America's Green New Deal.
Guess which party they'll be laundering money to in the upcoming elections?

  9. P.S. I don't know what Costco is charging. But there has been a line waiting outside their huge multi-island station for the last few months. Halfway down the block in each direction.

  10. We're $4.09 at the nearest off ramp on I-40 Tn.(nearest gas for me, it's miles away). My new blue Tn. plate ($37) starts with BBQ, life is good far from the big cities. The locals seem surprisingly aware of the national shit show going on out there. People used to look at me kinda funny when I'd bring up "conspericy" shit, now I'm just a normy. Tree Mike

    1. I didn't even notice when I took Lisa in to see LadyDoc. I glanced at the Shell station and saw a 9 at the end of the price and assumed it said $4.49.

  23. Up here in the pucker brush in Ea. Wa. diesel goes for $6.39, a $.70 cent raise in the last week. In the last 6 months fuel has gone up 50% and the rate of increase in the gas tax, also 50%. So apparently the commie bastard insley thinks he can just raise the tax rate along with the price of gas, not allowing for the legislature to vote on it or anything. I managed to plant a crop this year, but as for the now price of fuel, so much for harvesting it. It'll have to rot in the field, costing more to harvest than I can collect by selling it. Keep that in mind next time you view the bare shelves comrade poopypants.
