They managed to steal dozens of ATMs without getting caught?

NEW YORK - The NYPD is on the hunt for five men behind dozens of robberies of ATMs in stores across Brooklyn and Queens. Between Dec. 2, 2021 and June 2, 2022, the group stole 37 ATMs and two vehicles totaling more than $60,000, according to cops.

  1. Just running the numbers here. Assuming they actually got the full value of the two cars, that’s only ten grand a month divided 5 ways. Chances are they ditched the cars or sold them to a chop shop for minimal cash. So the overall take would have been worse. Guessing 10 grand blue book per car, that leaves only 40 grand from the 37 ATMs. Again divide that between 5 perps and they’re only pulling in a hair over 300 a week knocking over ATMs. Even part time burger flippers can do better than that in New York.

Of course, getting an actual job might mean losing welfare and EBT…and maybe even paying taxes. Guess they wouldn’t want to risk that.

  2. Small time hoods. 'Totaling over $60,000'. Six months, five guys?

PD should conduct a campaign of ridicule. Get the people involved. Host a contest of who comes up with the wittiest plug.
The thugs would show up to defend their 'honor'.

Seems like an awful lot of work for very little money...
