Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services (DCS) told FOX 17 News they’ve received calls on this issue and they said it is not only happening in Davidson County, it's happening in other parts of the state as well.

Those nice folks that are so outraged better not go to California. It's extremely common to see people with kids panhandling in the median of a busy intersection.
I was leaving the parking lot of a store with my weed connection one time and saw a mutual acquaintance that I hadn't seen in a couple years since she got strung out panhandling at the exit with a couple young kids, maybe 3 or 4 years old.
"Hey, I didn't know Susan had kids," I said.
Randy laughs and says, "She doesn't. Those are borrowed. Brings in more money."
Stop supporting the uncivil and immoral at the street corner and in office. Stupid people are supposed to have a hard life . Why make it easier for them?
ReplyDeleteNuttin' new. Roma Gypos and Irish Travellers have been doing this shit for a hundred years or more.
ReplyDeleteBut, a fix is on the way. Crazy Joe is importing thousands of little kids for a reasonable fee so that no panhandler ever has to do without a kid again.
ReplyDeleteOver in both Blacksburgand Christiansburg you see those slugs begging right in front of the help wanted signs all of them young able bodyed men and women.
ReplyDeleteF. k you get a job!
Oh, come on, outraged people! Panhandling with kids a'tow is part of the business practice. If the sight makes you "feel" bad, give some money and move on. "The poor you have with you always." Matt. 26-11. The genuinely poor and the professionals. Been that way for a long time.
ReplyDeleteShoot, around here we can watch the kids grow up. Family with 4...maybe up to 5 kids now?...make the rounds in parking lots around here. I mostly feel bad for how bored those kids must be sitting at the exit of shopping centers breathing in all of the fumes from people stopped at the lights.
ReplyDeleteYeah; this goes on all the time here in the Wild West; probably countrywide as well. There used to be a guy who would "clean your windshield" at a local shopping center. He always had two kids with him, and a sob story about being down on their luck. He seemed legit. We fell for it a couple of times. Then we noticed that as time went on, the guy stayed the same, the story stayed the same, but there were new kids! My advice; don't give ANYTHING to panhandlers. Give a cat milk, and it'll be at your door every day forever! 'Ever wonder how someone like Newsom could be elected "governor" of CA? He caters to these panhandlers... WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS!!! OF COURSE the panhandlers are going to flock to CA! They get PAID to vote for Lefties and the weather's good! Be forewarned... NO STATE in the union is immune to this kind of thing!
ReplyDeleteI saw another variation on this at a rest area on California state route 395. A guy asked me if I had a few bucks, as he was stuck there with a leaking water pump. The hood to the car was up and the water pump was indeed leaking. He said he couldn't get anywhere to buy the part. He needed money to both get a cab to the parts store and to buy the part. I had gotten past giving money to bums and said no. We were there at that rest area long enough to see the guy wander away from the disabled car and make his way to an old RV at the other end of the lot. He went inside and someone else came out and assumed the position at the disabled car! This is the way this kind of thing works. Don't fall for it!
Many places that will get your kids taken away.
ReplyDeleteI don't give $$$ to anyone who smokes, if they can afford 3K+ a year for smokes they don't need my help OR people with dogs. If they can't take care of themselves how are they taking proper care of the dog? Almost every business has Help Wanted signs.
ReplyDeleteMy brother used to manage a drug store. Apparently most of the panhandlers he saw that came into the store would spend their money on scratch tickets of all things.
DeleteLast week I saw a panhandler who set a new standard. Standing at the corner, he simply held cardboard in front of him aimed at traffic stopped at the light. No writing, just a piece of cardboard.
ReplyDeleteOver in my neck of the woods there are a few with kids but most have a dog with them for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteYears ago my BIL had a shoe store at a mall. Every day at the mall entrance, a guy with a "homeless--will work for food" sign. One day he decides to offer the guy a chance--no skill required, break down boxes at the back of the store. Guy huffs "Why would I want to work? I'm making $300 a day with this sign! And if it starts to rain, I just go home."
ReplyDeleteI will never forget that lesson, and the only thing I've ever given to a panhandler is a couple of doggie biscuits, saying "The dog deserves better."
Romas around here. They don't get much play from us.
