Another study they wasted money on instead of just asking me

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It turns out man’s best friend is taking a real bite out of crime! Researchers from The Ohio State University have found that neighborhoods which are home to more dogs also experience less crime — including murder and assault.

*****

Now wait a cotton-pickin' minute.
You mean to tell me that a dog that instinctively barks at strangers or intruders (or in the case of that asshole dog Jack, anybody and everybody) is a deterrent to crime? Whoa, that's some heavy shit right there.
I bet their next study will prove that most dogs will attack people that are threats to them or their owners.

  1. Lol.. neighbors bought a fancy alarm from ADT, cellular monitoring, 24/7, service guys were there for 3 days installing and troubleshooting. Has recorded video and live streaming capabilities. Spent about 3 grand plus 120/mo.
I bought a Belgian Malinois for $1k, foods about a C-note per month. UPS guy doesn't even get out of his truck anymore.

  2. Properly fed and maintained, a dog is right up there with a well maintained gun.

  3. We have a male Malamute/Border Collie mix and a female Akita. The male barks like a toy breed when somebody comes up the drive and goes crazy when they actually come up to the door and knock/ring the doorbell. The female just gets ready to charge from the flank. I truly pity anybody that actually breaks into the house if we are not around to stop the dogs from killing him/her/them.

  6. Be careful here. This kind of study gets used to say "you don't need a gun, just get a dog"
