They aim to restrict concealed carry to those 21 and older; require applicants to disclose all prior arrests, criminal convictions and restraining or protective orders; require in-person interviews with the applicant and at least three character references; and allow sheriffs and police chiefs to consider applicants’ public statements as they weigh if the individual is dangerous.

Stanislaus County, where I came from, was a shall-issue county and while I never heard of anybody that was lawfully allowed to own guns having their permit denied, they still had to jump through most all those hoops to get a permit, including the interview with the sheriff's department.
I don't recall hearing about having to provide references though.

ReplyDeleteI guess if they can't fuck us out of the 2nd they'll settle for the 14th. After all, they've been violating equal protection for years letting illegal aliens get away scot free breaking laws actual citizens get the book thrown at them for.
