  1. I've kind of wondered how many years I might get for my tool box and/or bag. Then there is that mean looking insulation knife....... Maybe the screw gun and drill will get me off.

  2. I hate to say this, but if these assholes didn’t have any catalytic converters in the car, seems like a stretch to arrest them. I always carried a large pair of bolt cutters in my truck toolbox along with great assortment of tools, to include a saws all. As a contractor traveling all over the country, you never know when someone will loose the keys to your equipment storage connex or some security guard will lock you in on a range. Paying 40 people overtime to wait at a gate gets damned expensive when you’re running firm fixed price. Just my two cents. Eod1sg Ret

  3. No way that can stick. Is that a semi-automatic assault Sazall? Used blades are reported as if they are full magazines. Sure, they might be scumbags, but common tools can hardly be a basis for probable cause.

  4. I travel with the tools shown in the article in my car. I also have a lockpick set. I use them for work, but I'm not a locksmith. The police can go fuck themselves.

  5. First of all, that's what trunks are for. Secondly, if asked, the only thing you should ever respond is, "I don't consent to any searches." It may or may not help, but DO NOT give them permission.

  6. Catalytic converter theft is freakin' rampant here in the L.A. area.. My bet is that the po-po thought these guys were up to exactly that, and hauled 'em in.

Not that that's ok, but it is reality.
