A smiling dawg. I had one once. He was 110 pounds of love. Wouldn't hurt a fly, but he could scare the heck out of you if you didn't know him. Love you, Buddy.
I had a dalmatian who would do the same thing. Grinned like a maniac when I opened the door. Unfortunately before cell phone cameras--would love to have gotten a picture of it.
Hmmm. Ears back, teeth bared. Not sure that's good morning.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good morning. Paws are laid on top of the rail instead of pulling against it, it's not barking..... gotta read the whole dog.
DeleteMy dog does that. That's his "I'm so happy to see you" face.
DeleteDog mimics owner's / visitor's smile?
DeleteI have a friend and his dog "smiles" like that too when I come over and just wants to play.
ReplyDeleteMy mom had a Doberman that would do that and click his teeth greeting people. If they did not know him it would scare the crap out of them.
ReplyDeleteThat asshole dog Jack snaps his teeth at me when he's excited.

Borzoi do that too. I have had several. If you don't know what they're doing it can be frightening.
ReplyDeleteWith certain dogs showing the teeth in that way (mouth closed, lips back) is a sign of submission.

ReplyDeleteIs this an ad for dental implants? Very white and straight teeth.
ReplyDeleteHad a smiling dog on my paper route back when. Absolutely friendly dog, but unnerving every time he came to greet me.
ReplyDeleteNeighbor a dog who wags his tail and then attacks you. Should be put down.
ReplyDeletePerhaps your very best yet! :)
