BLAINE, Minn. — There is drunk -- and, in the words of the Minnesota Office of Public Safety, there is dead drunk.
In a Facebook post, the agency said that an officer with the Blaine Police Department recently arrested a 30-year-old man whose blood-alcohol-concentration level was a staggering .525%, more than six times the legal limit of .08% in Minnesota.
Supposedly .4 BAC means death, but the Injuns in South Dakota quite frequently post higher levels. Their livers generally give-out before they turn 40 years old.
For whatever reason, descendants of Northern Europeans have cast iron livers. A .4 Blood alcohol content would likely kill them, but if they don't exceed that level then they usually can drink heavily well into old-age. I'm not recommending doing so. Just an FYI.
Ffx. P.D. pulled a lady over for weaving in traffic. She blew a .52. "Damn, the breathalyzer is broke. Use this one." Point. Five. Two. Cops didn't wait for an ambulance. Took her right to Fairfax Hospital where blood was drawn. Doctor came up from the lab and ask "Have they taken the body down (to the morgue) yet?" Officer pointed to the pay phones and said "She's on the phone with her husband." And this was a 10 in the morning.
Used to do hospital security. Highest I had come in was a guy at .455. He was walking and fairly functional. Not like the 16 year old girls who would be falling down at .06
Worst I ever saw was when I was in training. I admitted a seasoned pro, well known to the medical staff, with a 0.770. He was intoxicated, but coherent. Started going into DTs at around 0.25.
Drunk driver blows .525% BAC in Minnesota. And Glenn Beck just declared him a mere "Amateur".
ReplyDeleteNot possible....
ReplyDeleteActually it is for a seasoned alcoholic. My brother has posted 0.5%+ on several trips to rehab.
ReplyDeleteThat is dedication to the job at hand. His liver is called "Chuck Norris"
ReplyDelete(Old Tech) Congrats are in order. He can now pass the Russian Citizenship exam.
ReplyDeleteThat is what you call Pre Embalming.
