CHICAGO (NewsNation) — As the U.S. government continues sending millions of dollars in weapons and tech to Ukraine, the city of Miami is trying to do their part by carrying out a gun buyback program with the goal of shipping those discarded weapons — almost 200 guns — to Irpin, Ukraine, a city just outside Kyiv.
Miami’s buyback program paid residents up to $150 bucks to turn in their guns.
What is a discarded gun?
ReplyDeleteSo how is this supposed to work? Exactly who are they sending these firearms to? Who is handling the export regulations? This is not a serious news story.
ReplyDeleteSo are they shipping 20-25 different types of ammunition in sufficient quantities to make them more than just paper weights…??
ReplyDeleteThis ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
DeleteAnon, they are sending them ALL our paper weights, who in their right mind sells a decent weapon for $150.00? I'm waiting on my local Sheriff ( Grady Judd) to do the same, I got two to dispose of but he'll NEVER do it. I may have to visit another county?

The only allowed disposition does NOT include donating to a foreign country.
I wonder if they have an export license?
ReplyDeleteITAR regulations are a mother…..
DeleteITAR regulations are weird too..like I was trying to find an infrared flashlight...no american company will make them because of ITAR. but I can import a dozen of them from china real cheap.
DeleteMiami gonna get in trouble with ITAR. Na na nan na na
ReplyDeleteWhy all the negative waves? If it looks good, do it.
ReplyDeleteKeep an eye on surplus sales, I suspect many of these are coming back
ReplyDeleteDaryl
WTF are we supposed to do with a .40 S&W Hi-Point ?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be a hoot if Ukraine sent them back. OR maybe they should send them to Canada. I hear that the people up there are going to need them sooner than later.
ReplyDeleteHow about returning them to the rightful owner if not already compensated by insurance? Fucking commies.
ReplyDeleteLOL they Want Ukraine to loose? if the best they can come up with is turned in crap guns thats whatll happen
ReplyDeleteOh such love for the Ukrainians...most guns from enterprises such as this are junk.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see their faces when the gun falls apart during the heat of battle.
Almost like a Marx brothers' gag...
