New law aimed at gun marketing to minors could hurt youth shooting sports programs

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Four years ago Michelle Perez's son, Joseph, decided he didn't want to do baseball anymore. So instead he took up shooting sports.

Perez said her son had been hooked on shooting sports since his freshman year in high school when he learned how firearms work and the discipline associated with the sport of clay shooting.

  1. The gun grabbing left knows that if they can convince young people to forgo shooting and hunting, within a couple of generations ending private firearm ownership become not just possible but something that society will demand. It's part of their long term disarmament plans.

  2. I graduated HS in 79 from a small rural school in SE Georgia. I was on the skeet shooting team and placed 3rd in the state my junior year. My senior year I won state champ after a 143 round shoot-off with a Stevens side-by-side 20 gauge.
