Researchers at Caltech are studying a new type of vaccine that could protect against future COVID-19 variants and other coronaviruses before they even emerge.
What a crock of shit. They can't come up with a vaccine that's effective against known variants, and now they're saying they can develop one that that will work against unknown variants?
You do NOT look stupid. Maybe a bit shaggy if you haven't gone back to the barber shop, but NOT stupid. Nothing can be done about the suicidally stupid out there. We've all had to realize that over the past couple years. They're going to DO it, or not do it and insist they did, because they don't have the soul to call us up and apologize for being such assholes.
In that case, ultra, ultra NOT stupid. I reckon it's like me when I'm wearing my Wayfarer rims glasses. Makes me look like I know what I'm doing. Same with your haircut and trimmed beard. Looks as though you could just whisper and nitwits would smarten right up. --nines
Don't discount research that is ongoing and seeking a common way to prevent all coronaviruses including HKU1, NL63, OC43, or 229E just because the current ones used against COV2 appear to be a failure. Caltech isn't the only lab trying to devise an overall cure against the entire family. I recall the Army lab was also working on this approach.
I have done everything opposite to what the .gov/health as recommended and not so much as an cough! They can eat peanuts from my softserve in the morning.
I wonder if they're willing to go on record that it will prevent the common cold? If it stops all coronavirus variants it should include the common cold.
They are not vaccines. At best (and questionable) they should be considered a marginal therapeutic with a(highly questionable) limited and short efficacy coupled with a serious side effect profile, of which information has been suppressed. To each his own, buyer beware.
And just in time for the mid-terms and probably to push for more mail in ballots, HHS Secy. Xavier Bacteria said... https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/07/11/biden-hhs-secretary-strong-chance-well-see-resurgence-virus-fall/

DeleteCritical thinking doesn't seem to be taught in public schools these days.
DeleteBeing part of the flocking flock sure does, though.

ReplyDeleteIf it's Fauci approved, I'm all in!!!
ReplyDeleteTo paraphrase someone I know in the 'bug' business, 'If Fauci has anything to do with it; it is questionable at best.'
