KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A former Tennessee police chief has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for using excessive force during arrests, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.
Prosecutors said Anthony “Tony” Bean punched a handcuffed arrestee in the face in 2014 and punched another arrestee in the face in 2017. Bean was convicted on two counts of using excessive force.

Plus, they have one of the best bakeries you will ever set foot into, Dutch Maid, which has been family owned and in continuous operation since 1902. I guess, what I'm saying is that he didn't lack for quality donuts, and everyone knows that that is the only legitimate excuse for such behavior from a peace officer.

ReplyDeleteTwice I have lived at a small town (population 1,200 and 400) when they incorporated. Both decided they needed a PD. The new cops ran rough over the peaceable own folk. One Christmas Eve I nearly got shot after being tailed for miles by Barney and buddy, both with itchy trigger fingers. The first year, three of eight got fired for having too many complaints. Imagine that, fired from their first job after POST.
