Commentary: Republicans Don’t Get It

When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) looks around his adopted hometown of Washington, D.C.—a city shamelessly and aggressively using every lever of federal power to destroy Donald Trump and the 76 million Americans who dared to vote for him in 2020—he sees only one menace to the well-being of the nation:

January 6 protesters.

“I do think it’s an important issue,” McConnell said in response to a reporter’s question about a recent poll that ranked “threats to democracy” as the top concern among registered voters who responded. “There were those who were trying to prevent the orderly transfer of power for the first time in American history and that was not good.”

  1. Pisses me off when anyone, and especially the GOP, says that they "...were trying to prevent the orderly transfer of power.." which is pure BS, most only wanted to do what the Dems have done to the last several presidential elections, which is to challenge the results!!
Is there anything the Dems do not have double-standards on?

  3. Republicans are exactly the same as Democrats. They're in a sexual relationship. It's evident the Democrats are the "Tops" and Republicans "Bottoms" in their relationship that constantly ends with a Control and wealth orgasm. Sadly, it's only us peasants who are taking it up the ass that only results in swollen, painful hemorrhoids..

  4. With a few exceptions the GOP is mostly a pretend opposition party, as evidenced not by what they do, but what they don't do. The uniParty has Americans well divided into 50/50 camps with their Good Cop, Bad Cop approach.

Does it matter if the Dems continue their destruction of free America? Will that result in any true resistance from the (corrupt) people themselves. (seems unlikely) One side of the party has to die before change can occur. The people might be best served by the dissolution of the union and the collapse of the Federal govt. That'd be ala the old Soviet Union's collapse. The US is a racist govt, for decades now, against whites.

At least the Dems are honest politicians, they are overt in their hatred for us. The Pubs are the dishonest ones, they pretend to oppose that. A Dem will stab you right in the face, Pubs stick it in your back.

  5. Mitch (Turtle Boy) McConnell and Nasty Pelosi are kindred spirits both corrupt to the core . Their only concern is gathering money and maintaining power . They have ceased serving the country long ago .

  6. The Democrats and Republicans are both of the same ilk, money hungry, and pedophiles. The only way for the people to return to previous God fearing, justice seeking people is to wipe the slate clean and return to the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

  7. I agree with all of the forementioned comments, but am forced to ask. What then are we to do, as citizens, who wish to try and maintain at the very least, our bill of rights, as spelled out in the first 10 amendments in the Constitution? There is obviously no way that we can vote for the Democrats, who are always trying to infringe on our rights, and the longer time goes on, the more they are willing to be outspoken about their willingness to do so.
The Republicans have become the DeFacto mouthpiece of the Democrat party, spewing what the Dems used to say quietly, amongst themselves. I know that the Democrats have no principles, but it has become quite apparent that the Republicans also not only do not have any principles either, but have not had any principles themselves for a very, very long time.
I live in Michigan, which has become a battleground state, and so a protest vote for a third party is not really a good choice, since it could end up ushering in another Democrat win, and not only that, but embolden them to attack our 2nd amendment rights, even though the Supreme Court has said in no uncertain terms that the 2nd amendment means exactly what it says and that the states must all give deference to it. Right now, the liberal states are choosing to ignore the Court and their ruling, and attempting to see just how far they can push back, before the Court reacts and slams their proverbial hand down and puts a halt to the disrespect to the Supreme Court, and makes it quite obvious that the BS is over, and they will no longer allow the states to play games with rulings that they have made, and will take steps to force compliance, be it what ever power that the court might posses, be it contempt of court, or some other legal option that is available to the SCOTUS.

Now that the FBI's involvement in throwing Biden the election has been revealed, it's time to end the Jan 6 hearings and pardon all those convicted. Storming the Capitol to get their attention was the right thing to do, given the circumstances. And Trump needs to be inaugurated with the time on his term beginning for a full term on that day.

You accept that your political options are decided during the primary elections phase, when the candidates that will run in November are selected. Get involved in that part of politics and help the candidates that you can endorse. There's quite a few of them coming up in November in various states. That's where the game is fought. By the time some country club establishment Republican is on the ticket, it's too late.
