That's why I only buy wine in screw cap bottles. Besides the screw caps are real handy when you build up a terrible thirst while headed down R-95 at 80mph.
Not a big wine drinker, but I read that even the more expensive wines are beginning to put twist on tops on their bottles. Seems like a very reasonable idea to me.
I think it was here a few weeks ago that I saw the solution to #3. Light a BIC lighter to the bottle neck, that space between the top of the wine and the bottom of the cork.... the air expands and pops the cork right out. Brilliant!
I had the same experience recently, I just used pliers to unscrew the remains and used my spare corkscrew to enjoy the wine. Now I must get a new spare.
I don’t know about you guys, but when I did stupid shit growing up I was damn glad nobody had a camera. Now people take pictures of the stupid shit they do and post them for everyone to see. JFM
#3. Having a cheap corkscrew break is not the worst thing. It’s happened to me a couple of times.

Looks like someone forgot to account for the wind load in #1.
ReplyDelete#1 Who could have foreseen that it would be windy?
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a severe lack of rebar. Concrete not good in tension.
DeleteYeah. Looks like the foundation was too shallow and was easily blown over.
DeleteOMG. I’ve done that.
ReplyDelete#2. You Gumby! Now you know you can't go around kissing turtles
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a Sand Turtle. He'll be OK.
DeleteIf that turtle was a Snapper he'd be missing most of the left side of his face.
#9 - I'm guessing a Tool concert? And they were no-shows?
ReplyDelete#1 now i know why they space the generators so fall apart. #3 happens a lot at the office when the secretary walks in.
ReplyDelete#9, I didnt say it was your fault. I said I was going to blame you.
